I was watching the Tim Russet show and was fixed on the tv by a very deep discussion about Hillary's Bosnia Trips and Reverend Wright comments, so I decided to share some of the clips I was able to find on you tube.
Before you dismiss Hitchens' claim as an outlandish and hateful speech, consider his argument. In 1992 Bill Clinton gave a solemn promise to stop the ethnic cleansing in Bosnia ( a promise he made at the Holocaust Museum, yeah out of all places). However, after he got elected to office, he failed to take any action while a quarter million Europeans were being slaughtered for four years. The reason? Hillary was adamantly opposed to it. Hitchens explained, " She didn't want anything distracting from her wonderful, memorable, ...never to be forgotten health care plan." How does he know? He gave two reasons, (1) He was told so by the secretary of Defense at the time(2)It is also clearly described in the book, "For the Love of Politics", by Sally Bedell Smith, he claimed.
Did she learn anything from the debacle of health care reform of the early '90s as she claims? Not so much, both argued. In the early 90's, there was actually a health care plan, the Cooper Plan in congress, close to a universal plan as one can gets. But, Hillary took the position of my way or the highway. So the public didn't even know there was any alternative plan to hers, and health care reform got delayed for more than a decade.Because of the delay, countless Americans suffered miserably for luck of care for more than a decade. Today, she criticizes Barack for a plan that is different only on its application of mandates. As John Kerry, a veteran of the struggle of the health care debate himself, recently declared Hillary's demand of mandate upfront turns off a lot of republicans in congress and make her plan a non-starter. Did she learn from her mistake? You be the judge.

The most interesting part of the show for me was where they began disusing Reverend Wright. This the most honest, unbiased, and intellectual discussion I have seen on the subject to this point. By the way, they were not easy on the reverend or Barack. Hitchens at one point described the reverend as a crack pot, and argued the coverage has been timid for his taste. I couldn't disagree more. However, Andrew Sullivan, a conservative, gave the most honest, enlightened and introspective answers for the questions. You have got to watch it to see the points.
If you have time, here is Part III
