Obama for America just released their FEC report for the month of March. One amazing bit of information is that even after campaigning in the expensive Texas and Ohio markets on Super Tuesday II, he still managed to end the month with more Cash on Hand then when he began the month.
Here is the FEC summary for the Obama's March 2008:
6. Cash on Hand at BEGINNING of the Reporting Period | 38,833,089.54 |

9. Total Disbursements This Period | 30,591,210.20 |
10. Cash on Hand at CLOSE of the Reporting Period | 51,073,999.99 |

As you can see, his estimate of "$40 million" was lower then the actual $42.8 million raised. He ended the month with an additional $12.2 million Cash on Hand, and with a debt of about $600,000 - which consistent with preceding months.
At the end of March Obama has raised almost $234 million dollars. Based on last month's rate it's safe to conclude that Obama has currently raised over 1/4 of a billion dollars during the presidential primary.
Not much more to say here, other than WOW!
