Doesn't this just positively melt your heart... America, meet Michelle Obama
The GOP is going to have a tough time smearing Michelle Obama as an angry, racial woman once she's given her opportunity, starting tomorrow, to introduce herself to the country.

Step 2: US Weekly Spread - 6 Pages Long
She shops at Target, loved "Sex and the City" and never misses the girls' recitals. The untold romance between a down-to-earth mom and the man who calls her "my rock"
Step 3: Smart NY Times Profile that takes the rumors head-on.
"You are amazed sometimes at how deep the lies can be," she says in an interview. Referring to a character in a 1970s sitcom, she adds: "I mean, ‘whitey’? That’s something that George Jefferson would say. Anyone who says that doesn’t know me. They don’t know the life I’ve lived. They don’t know anything about me."
Step 4: Speech Upcoming
new speech in the works to emphasize her humble roots
Step 5: Meet the Public
In coming weeks, Mrs. Obama will visit the spouses of military personnel and talk of the patriotic duty to provide these families with care and services. And the campaign has hired Stephanie Cutter, a veteran strategist, as her chief of staff, who will seek to deflect attacks.
Michelle melted my heart one afternoon before Iowa when on CSPAN I watched her talk to about 25 people at a campaign headquarters in a small Iowa city... the way she described Barack, the way she asked me, us all to Dream Again... Something like this one from PA.
And a story of when Michelle and Barack fell in love
It's Time for Michelle Obama!
UPDATE: WOW, thanks for the love everyone! Two small updates.
- Michelle is clearly more liked than Cindy McCain in this Poll
Forty-eight percent of Americans in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll see Obama favorably, vs. 39 percent for McCain, a 9-point Obama advantage.
- Be SURE to vote for Michelle's Shortbread Cookies in the prescient Parent's Magazine Online Poll.
UPDATE III:
The article is now online for US Weekly, at least a brief portion.
Barack Obama tells Us Weekly in its new issue, on newsstands now, that his wife Michelle is an "extraordinary mother" to their two daughters, Malia, 9, and Sasha, 7.
"Nothing is more important to Michelle than being a good mother," the Democratic presidential nominee tells Us. "She works every day to instill in our girls the same values we were raised with."
She went on to excel at Princeton and Harvard Law, and friends detail in the current issue of Us her struggle to balance work and family. "She's a very genuine person, just like you and me," longtime friend Valerie Jarrett says, who adds, "She's not in the least bit interested in being a co-president. Her first priority as first lady would be that the girls are OK."
