I want a bit of "Angry" in my candidate.
If Obama wins the nomination, I will happily and enthusiastically vote for him in the general, where I believe he will trounce whomever emerges from the Walking Dead on the GOP side.
But he's no John Edwards.
Edwards understands that to get the country back in the right direction, parts of our system to need to ripped apart at the seems and then beaten with a shovel. Of course, we will need to bring some Republicans along, but I have no interest in 'reaching across the aisle' to work with bad people. Yes, I mean BAD PEOPLE -- there not just wrong headed or misguided, some of them morally inferior and needed to be treated as such.
Teddy Roosevelt took on the moneyed, entrenched interests and he did so by going to battle. He relished the fact and knew his enemy. That's what I like about Edwards, and why he's still my guy.
I love what Obama is talking about, but I haven't seen the 'angry' yet. I suspect if he wins, he will be very Clintonesque. Modest improvements around the edges that address some of the worst problems but fundamentally, things will remain basically the same.
