Wow what a finish to last night's New Hampshire Primary, huh? Did you see that? Obama lost! Absolutely riveting entertainment. I was on the edge of my seat.
And here's the current delegate count as reported by CNN: Obama 25, Clinton 24, Edwards 18
So here's what I learned from the Iowa Caucuses: Hillary Clinton is NOT inevitable!
And here's what I learned from the New Hampshire Primary: Barack Obama is NOT inevitable!
And oh yeah, I learned one other thing. The COM, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC are NOT, I repeat, NOT irrelevant. After downing out the John Edwards message by virtually blacking out coverage of him all summer, and hyping both Clinton and Obama till that's all the country thinks about, literally "steering" the country to Clinton and Obama (and BTW, look at what COM has done in the past week with John McCain to put him back into that other race), they've now got what they always wanted, a ratings bonanza. A battle in the Democratic Party, and a battle in the Republican Party. And all the other candidates they didn't approve of pushed over to the side.
Predictably, this morning, bloggers and Daily Kos users, are out in force foolishly carrying water for the COM by calling for John Edwards to drop out of the race since he's now 6 Delegates behind Clinton and 7 Delegates behind Obama. Wow! You mean 6 whole Delegates?
Are we really going to sit back and allow the MSM to be this relevant? Are we going to allow CNN and MSNBC to choose our nominee for us? I'm not.
Count me as one Edwards supporter that hopes he stays in the race until the final delegate count at our National Convention.
It may be too late for John Edwards at this point, but I don't care, I'm still supporting him and I'll be voting for him in my primary.
Cheers.
