A team of filmmakers went to Wasilla a couple of weeks ago to interview folks and create videos of "the real Sarah Palin." Their first effort has been released.
The Wasilla Project's first video, on the rape kit issue, is online now, and will be followed by more in the next couple of weeks.
The Wasilla Project's stated goal is to find out and share "What do the people of Wasilla really believe about Sarah Palin? Who is she? How was she as an executive in Wasilla? Is she a religious fanatic? A competent administrator? A compassionate conservative or a dangerous kook?" They "hope to counter the mythical 'narrative' with something a lot more nuanced and valuable." Their first video is pretty compelling and I urge you to take a look. In my view, the "nuance" here lends believability and weight to the story.
These guys are mostly professionals, and the quality of their video is testament to that, but they're doing this on their own dime, so if you like the video you may wish to donate using the button on their site.
