I just received this in an email from the Eric Massa campaign... Two new polls show him ahead...This is the most Republican district in NY, but we can win this one.. If you would like to contribute, please visit Eric's website.
Dear Friends,
There's some very exciting news in our race that I just had to share with you. This week, two independent polls showed us ahead by a significant margin.
Roll Call, the official newspaper of Capitol Hill, released a poll on Oct 7th showing us beating Kuhl 51-44%.
On Oct 6th the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's also released a poll where we are leading our opponent 47-42%.
Any poll that shows a candidate past the all-important 50% mark certainly carries a lot of weight. Having two polls showing the same trend further reinforces the fact that our message of change is resonating with voters.
Now is crunch time. With only a few weeks until election, we all know that Kuhl and his corporate special interest buddies are going to throw every weapon they can find at us, running negative attack ads full of lies that misrepresent everything that I've fought for during this campaign. Have you ever noticed how none of Kuhl's TV or mail actually talks about real specific solutions to the real challenges facing us all today?
That kind of campaigning is disappointing and frustrating, but we have the momentum - the polls verify this - and people are ready for truth and accountability.
The pollsters and the pundits now know what we have known all along - this is a race we can win. There are just 27 days until election day and we're working harder than ever to maintain this lead and deliver our message of change and responsible government from Western New York to Washington D.C.
With your help we can turn our message of change into action in Washington. Can you help us win by contributing $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford?
I want to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for your support as we prepare to take this campaign across the finish line.
Onward to victory,
Eric Massa
