Today has been a day of amusing coincidences. I've been impatiently awaiting my absentee ballot all month as I'm quite anxious to vote for Obama and Governor Gregoire in Washington state. This morning, a friend sent me this video link:
Obama's Loss Traced To John C.
I happen to be a John C.
I just happen to not be that John C.
The website, cnnbcvideo.com allows people to customize the video so you can motivate your apathetic friends not to be "John C" or the guy whose apathy could cost Obama a victory.
Secondary headlines at the link include "Gov. Palin: 'Lookit That—I'm The Second-Most Powerful Person In The World'"
Anyhow, my ballot arrived in the mail today so I dutifully filled it out and have it ready to be sent back. Yes, I did properly mark the oval for Barack Obama and made sure I voted for Chris Gregoire.
And fortunately, Ran Prieur wrote a blog entry that included a helpful voter guide for Washington residents (let's just say I haven't been up to date at all on ballot initiatives and propositions).
I love Washington's permanent absentee ballot method and I love early voting. I kinda wish I was in Darcy Burner's district to provide her with a vote, but what can you do.
And for the other John C's out there...don't be that guy in the video.
