Update - Another great Pro-Segall diary up - Rec this one also - http://www.dailykos.com/...
Just a couple weeks ago Joshua Segall (AL-03) was named to the DCCC Red to Blue list.
Despite Segall only trailing Rogers by single digits, the DCCC seemed to have essentially just giving Segall a pat on the back. That is unfortunate because we can win this race. The proof is in the pudding where Mike Rogers had to resort to this ad to go after Segall where he makes lie after lie.
Rogers is in fact so scared of Segall that he has his supporters writing Letters to the Editor in his hometown paper,The Anniston Star, calling out Segall for his youth and inexperience.
I will be voting for Mike Rogers. He has seniority, has served in several elected offices, knows the needs of our district and will continue to work to maintain our employers here.
What does his opponent have to offer that we are not receiving?
A change at this time would not be in our best interest.

What Seniority? Mike Rogers is ranked 403 out of 435 members of Congress in a power ranking that measures effectiveness.
Work to Maintain employers here? The district has lost 15,000 jobs.
What does his opponent have to offer? A lot of knowledge on Agriculture, ideas for develop jobs, a plan for improving infrastructure and a guaranteed that he will be better for the Veterans that reside in this district.
Here's another one:
Right now, things look pretty shaky in the world economy and on the security front. In my opinion, we need the experience and steady hand of Congressman Mike Rogers in Washington now more than ever. These folks who talk about sending a young fellow right out of law school to be our voice in Congress are crazy.

The world economy? - Rogers voted twice to bailout out wall street. Rogers voted for CAFTA and other trade deals which negatively impacted workers (maybe not CEO's).
Security? - Have you read this article about the deadly poison, Compound 1080, being produced in your District? Well it's used in chemical weapons.
Despite not getting much help from DCCC, Segall outraised Rogers by 40k from the October 1-October 15 period.
Since October 15, Segall has received at least another 30k in contributions over 1k. Contributions in the last two weeks over 1k have to be reported within 48 hours. Rogers really hasn't shown much.
Segall is definitely coming on strong and we need your help. If we can raise another 10-20k from the netroots, we can make up for the lack of DCCC support. Instead of giving your money to the DCCC, give it to a candidate where you know you can make a difference.
Disclaimer - I believe the DCCC has done a better job than lately in identifying sleeper candidates. However, they still seems to be a few steps behind and not spreading the money far enough.
