I was just watching Michelle Obama in Colorado Springs. And the rally concluded with Stevie Wonder singing "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours." And I thought - this is one of those little background details that I've gotten so accustomed to and that I am going to miss - soul music. Soul music as the standard bearer for the next president of the United States.
I remember hearing a few months ago that Barack liked to DJ his own events from his IPod; that he favored Stevie, Marvin and the Temptations. Now, having a personal assistant named "Reggie Love" is about as cool as a presidential candidate dares to get. But soul music for the future of America ("the sound of young america".) is simply so perfect.
Not much. Just a small good thing that I will miss when this is all done. Thanks Obamas...
