I know that Olbermann reads DailyKos, so I'm hoping that he sees this. I'm just really tired of seeing a whole show based on a false premise.
To Keith Olbermann:
Could you point out on your show tonight, that Republicans are so desperate, that they're using a month old poll to make their case? Scarborough keeps going on and on this morning, about how the polls are showing tightening. As his proof, he showed a month old poll that showed McCain up 9 in Arizona, tied in New Mexico, and "only" down by 4 in Nevada.
This is shocking, since so many recent polls have come out, and they've shown an entirely different story in those states. Yet Joe keeps saying "look at the trendlines!" and pointing to those polls. Not noting that it's the EXACT opposite. It's a month old poll! It doesn't represent any trendline!
He never noted how old the poll was, so no one would know, unless they actually read the fine print of the date of the poll, on the screen.
I don't even know how the producers allowed those polls on the air, since they know there have been many more recent polls in those states. Are the producers as right-leaning as he is? I've emailed them about this, but so far, they keep letting Joe blather on about those polls, without noting the things I've said.
Please call Morning Joe on this bs. You can do it obliquely, if you must.
