Folks, lets face it. The race is now over.
Drudge is leading with a picture of Obama flipping off John McCain.
What a disrespectful uppity punk.
See for yourself:

He even has video that proves it:
Sometimes I think this isn't even conscious racism, but subconscious racism. There have been studies showing white men and black men saying the same thing, with the same expression, and a lot of people just perceive the black man as more violent, disrespectful, etc.
McCain's supporters probably feel the same way. That if McCain is chastising Obama, it's in a Parent-Child way that's appropriate, but when Obama is chastising McCain, that's "uppity" -- that's not knowing your place. How dare this young black punk insult a war hero thirty years his elder, that kind of thing.
You see reports today about "both campaigns" going negative... but the only example they have of Obama "going negative" is in pointing out Cheney's endorsement of his opponent. Meanwhile, if you listen to John McCain or Sarah Palin today, Obama's a socialist, Marxist, terrorist sympathizer who has promised to bankrupt the coal industry. (Apparently, his plan to "bankrupt the coal industry" is to have the exact same position on coal as McCain, but Republicans aren't mentioning that part.)
So yes, Obama should definitely release a statement or video clarifying the coal issue, since it's 100% what CNN, Fox, and MSNBC have been talking about all day, and it's the lead topic on Rush/Glen/Sean/etc. the day before an election (and remember -- nearly half of people in Ohio listen to Rush Limbaugh -- don't underestimate his 20+ million listeners.) But did he flip off McCain? I don't think so.
The thing is, though, after the last few months, I wouldn't blame him if he had. So if this is the best Drudge can do, I'm feeling pretty good.
