One day Chris Matthews will do something good, the next day something awful.
I had been working on a diary about some atrocity of his, and then I just couldn' t publish it because he roped Bachmann into her own web, with the possible result that we'll get a great replacement.
about 6.20 pm on November 1, on a 2 hour special on MSNBC, Tweety was praising McCain for refusing to take the low road. Meaning, he did not bring up Jeremiah Wright. Could it maybe be that when the disgusting Ayers attacks backfired fatally on McCain he smartened up a bit? I think he got scared when his own crowds started booing them.
McCain has run a nasty campaign, repulsive, low and dirty. His campaign has accused Obama of terrorism, and "socialism," has tried to artfully stoke racism with plausible deniability. John McCain is a selfish liar. He gave up his "maverick" positions, and chose an ignorant maniac as his running mate, endangering his country. He is most definitely not "country first" and he deserves condemnation, not, as tweety suggested, a Nobel prize.
It is so frustrating to hear MSNBC described as "left wing" when it took a mutiny to get rid of Imus, when hours a day are devoted to Joe the Republican Spinner, with an unhealthy dose of Pat Buchanan and MC Stretch, Karl Rove' s dance partner, and when Matthews, who I suppose is supposed to be a "liberal," speaks idiocies like these as often as he says incisive stuff.
What can we do?
