Apparently Cincinnati WR Chad Johnson was scheming to unfurl an Obama banner after he scored a touchdown the last 2 weeks!

We’re told that Bengals receiver Chad Johnson a/k/a Chad Javon Ochocinco had a special touchdown celebration planned for Sunday’s game at Houston, if he had actually managed to, you know, score a touchdown.
Per a league source, Johnson had a Barack Obama banner stashed in each end zone, which he planned to retrieve and unfurl if he had scored.
Such an action surely would have drawn a stiff fine, along the lines of the $30,000 penalty imposed in the wake of Joe Horn’s December 2003 cell phone call.
The Bengals host the Jaguars on Sunday. It’s unknown whether Johnson plans to attempt the same stunt if/when he scores this time around.
Looks like Ocho Cinco chickened out after scoring in today's win over Jacksonville even though he could have simultaneously reached voters in Ohio and Florida!

Last week we reported that Bengals wide receiver Chad "Johnson" Ocho Cinco had stashed a couple of Barack Obama banners in the end zone that he would have unfurled if he had scored a touchdown. Although Johnson denied it, teammate T.J. Houshmandzadeh later confirmed that Chad had planned the celebration.
Today Chad scored a touchdown in the first quarter of the Bengals’ game against the Jaguars, but he didn’t pull out an Obama banner.
There are a few possibilities as to why he decided not to go through with the celebration. Maybe the NFL told him in no uncertain terms that he shouldn’t do it. Or maybe coach Marvin Lewis did. Or maybe the Obama campaign got word to him that it doesn’t think an Ocho Cinco endorsement would help the candidate win Ohio’s electoral votes on Tuesday.
Speaking of Ohio athletes endorsing Obama former Ohio State basketball player Greg Oden has endorsed Obama!
