OK. Not quite at 8,000% approval YET, but the guy sure is popular!
I have been incredibly annoyed this week by the focus on the Blagojevich scandal--and more importantly, the weak attempts to connect Obama's team to it in some way, despite the quite obvious evidence that Blagojevich's own words offered that they at no point co-operated with him. I did wonder if the guilt-by-association gambit would have any effect on Obama's super-high favorability ratings.
Well it did NOT and it fact he is at his height in both Rasmussen and Gallup. In today's Gallup update he actually hit a high of 69% in the measure of Americans "Confident that he will be a Good President" AND another high of 73% in his general favorability rating.
Rasmussen is the exact same story. His approval rating is at it's height of 67%.
In short, this scandal has not even remotely affected him. Unless...maybe his ratings would just be in the 80's by now?? Anyway, it's very encouraging to see how much people trust him and have confidence in him. It bodes well for the coming fight in health care, the stimulus plan and etc. Not to mention of course...the Obama in 2012 campaign.
