I would honestly like to see Hillary win the Primary. Fairly and Honestly. She'd be a good president.
To that end, I advise her to play to her strengths.
I can hear the Obamaites in the audience saying that she has no strengths -- and they're wrong.
Her strengths are in speaking, in policy building, and in insider politics.
Let's start with the last first:
Explain your vote for the War in Iraq, Mrs. Clinton. We relied on you, perhaps more than any other Senator, to have connections inside the US Military. Explain what you did to fact-check, and who let you down. Anonymous sources are good enough. You didn't read the bill? Okay, that's fine. What made you trust a bill you didn't read?
You're a policy wonk, Obama isn't. First thing first, start by making a budget. Show me the numbers on the War in Iraq. I'll be able to tell by them how much of a commitment you intend to keep. I'll also be able to see your priorities on 'the stipulated issues' -- like science. Of course everyone wants that, just like they want education. But give me some dollar signs. This country is broke and going to get broker before it gets better. Hillary, this is your strength. Show me your bargaining position.
Once you've shown me a bargaining position, grill Obama on not showing his. Then go a step further, and say that he doesn't have a plan, yet, because he hasn't hired the advisors to write it for him (which is probably true. Obama didn't do the facebook, an advisor did. He did do the 'unify and centrist' thing himself).
Emphasis on the choices you had to make, and on how heartbreaking it was to cut the programs you will have to cut (yes, even the war in Iraq). Emphasize how much time it took you to come up with this. Care, but do so with gravitas.
Hillary, you're better on your feet than Obama is, speaking wise. Crowds don't suit you well. Make your campaign into a party, where everyone gets to see you one on one, and talk with you personally. You're good at answering people's questions, so give that a chance to shine.
It ain't over till the fat lady sings, even if it is advantage Obama.
