Let's get right to the bogus Obama camp response:
Susan Rice, Mr Obama's foreign policy adviser, said: "I think if Senator Clinton is serious about putting an end to statements that have racial implications...then she ought to repudiate this comment."

Unbelievably hypocritical from a campaign which, right in the aftermath of a loss which had people shouting "Bradley Effect!", not only tolerated the following remarks, but did NOTHING to repudiate them or to discipline their originator, who -- oh by the way -- is a national co-chairman of the Barack Obama for President campaign:
But those tears also have to be analyzed. They have to be looked at very, very carefully in light of Katrina, in light of other things that Mrs. Clinton did not cry for, particularly as we head to South Carolina where 45% of African-Americans who participate in the Democratic contest, and they see real hope in Barack Obama.

Susan Rice -- I think you might be better served responding poorly to questions about Obama's fitness to answer a 3 AM call to the White House.
In common terms, folks, this is what is known as 'amateur hour.' This is also what is known -- thanks, Obama campaign -- as ridiculous, blatant hypocrisy.
Whether you agree with Ms. Ferraro making her statement or not, there is almost no one who would disagree with it under the influence of sodium pentathol (truth serum). If you don't believe me, just listen to this:
He said Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. of Illinois had recently asked him "if it comes down to the last day and you're the only superdelegate? ... Do you want to go down in history as the one to prevent a black from winning the White House?
"I told him I'd think about it," Cleaver concluded.
Jackson, an Obama supporter, confirmed the conversation, and said the dilemma may pose a career risk for some black politicians. "Many of these guys have offered their support to Mrs. Clinton, but Obama has won their districts. So you wake up without the carpet under your feet. You might find some young primary challenger placing you in a difficult position" in the future, he added.

This is what is known as emotional blackmail, and it's an utter travesty. Cleaver is an African-American superdelegate.
Who wants to 'stand in the way' of an historic nomination, right? It is historic, after all, since no African-American has ever won the nomination of either of the two main political parties in the USA. Kind of like what Ms. Ferarro said -- Barack is in an advantageous position that way. The nation is ready to finally nominate an African-American as a Democratic Presidential Nominee, and that is a most welcome development. And Barack is benefiting from that state of affairs, as Ms. Ferraro said.
However, there's a corollary here, one you don't hear much from Team Obama.
Is the nation -- and the Party -- ready to nominate it's FIRST EVER female nominee for President? And wouldn't that be an ever larger moment since more than half the Party is female and around half the nation is women?
Yeah, I haven't heard JJ Jr. talking about SD's 'standing in the way' of that historic moment. Have you?

The tactics are clear here. And now Ms. Rice is attempting to lecture the Clinton campaign about "putting an end to statements that have racial implications."
If you and your fellow Team Obama members are concerned about declarations being made with racial overtones, Ms. Rice, I suggest that you buy yourselves a collective mirror.
Nobody is fooled. Or if you prefer, no one is being bamboozled or hoodwinked by these pitiful attempts at deflection.
I, for one (and I know I speak for many here), am sick and tired of this kind of campaigning from Obama and his staff. And so I say to the Illinois Senator:
Cease and desist these cynical, jaded efforts now. America has enough problems without your surrogates throwing gasoline on the fire. End this nonsense immediately. You can still obtain some redemption by firing Jesse Jackson, Jr. Just as Senator Clinton fired Bill Shaheen.
Please, Senator Obama, make the right call.
