Okay, I really don't do candidate diaries. Or at least only one in a moment of weakness and it sucked.
Maybe I'm a little pissed at finding out Kristen is the girl next door to my office and knowing that it will obliterate any substantive discussion of politics (as well as quiet walks home) since the reporters were twelve deep. One was desparate enough to ask for an interview simply because I was a body.
So I'm testy tonite. I watched KO. And then I see this:
That was his (Obama's) choice," she says. "There was no rule or requirement that he take his name off the ballot. His supporters ran a very aggressive campaign to try to get people to vote uncommitted."
I really can't do this anymore.
I just can't say we have two great candidates and I would proudly vote for either.
Every hope, every promise has been tossed down the toilet by this crap. And it just might work with the old pols and the closet racists but I, for one, am done.
Clinton believes rules do not apply to her. And she will bring every power at her disposal even if she breaks this party in two.
I'm done with her. Done fighting this crap. If this is the way you win I want no part of it even on a Democratic ticket.
I'm tired and going to bed. Tomorrow the reporters on "hot" issues will be at the office sidewalk and Hillary Clinton's triangulations and calculations will be yesterday's news.
Sadly, those calculations could be tomorrow's reality.
