Bumper stickers are effective. They put a clever thought in your head and provoke a response. If you support the person, you get angry. If you don't, you laugh. If you don't know, you think--"clever" (if it's a good one).
Before we get to McCain, here are a few cute ones I saw or heard about:
The media is only as liberal as the conservative businesses that own them.
If you cut off my reproductive choice, can I cut off yours?
GOP: Small Tent, BIG Closet
Those who believe Obama is Muslim also believe Bush is Christian. (From a DKos suggestion)
In 2004 we struck gold with: "No One Died When Clinton Lied". I would like an effective one for John McCain.
UNFORTUNATELY, all of the searches I have done have turned up only a few good ones. Most of them, by the way, are from conservatives who hate McCain.
None of them mention his hypocritical ties to lobbyists, his meanness ("Why is Chelsea so ugly? Cause Janet Reno was her father"--1998 GOP fundraiser), his crazy notion for more and longer wars-including Iran, and only one below references his extreme kissing up to Bush and Rove AFTER they smeared his adopted daughter in SC in 2000.
Here's what's out there right now:
Actually, McCain, I DO care if we are in Iraq 10,000 years
Vote McCain: Stick the final nail in the conseravative's coffin!
If you liked W, you'll love McCain, your more war candidate
John McNuts
McBush
McCain is Subprime
Vote for a third Bush term, Vote McCain!
Other jobs Americans won't do: Vote McCain!
No Country for Old Men
Amnesty and War in 2008
Vote Nope for Hope.
Benedict Arnold was a war hero too, before he was a traitor.
Insane in the Membrane
He allowed Bush to smear his child, how can he protect our country?
If you have any good ideas, PLEASE comment below. I am hoping some smart individual will make them into bumper stickers on cafepress.com and either give them away or sell them to raise money for the Democratic candidate.
UPDATE: As usual, the ones suggested in the thread below are MUCH better!!
