I'm reading the diaries here and the comments which have quickly moved into "who" and "why". I'm an ardent Obama supporter and I am disgusted by the tactics used by the other political candidates (HRC and McCain). But what concerns me most is the invasion of privacy, the lack of oversight, and the outsourcing of government functions to private contractors.

Many of the comments are going quickly into conspiracy mode and my concern is that we miss the point. Yes, I agree, knowing who was behind the leaks to the Washington Times is important; yes, it's important to know who the contractor(s) is(are) and why this wasn't reported up the chain of command.
But come on people, the reality based community deserves more than innuendo and conjecture. While it may play out that there are nefarious connections between the "imprudent curiosity" and McBush and/or HRC, let's please not go there until we have more information.
I'm an avid reader of dKos, mostly a lurker until this election cycle and it's disturbing to see the assumptions and conclusions being made from very little information. I rely on dKos to give me valid information and food for thought; not to advance wild accusations. I am, after all, a member of the hordes of people who do not spend my every waking second perusing the internets, print media, tv and radio for the nuggets that wind up here. While I couldn't live without those who do that perusing, let's all take a deep breath and wait until we have more info.
And, let's keep our eye on the ball---the outsourcing of government functions, the abysmal record of this administration on accountability and the very real invasion into ALL of our personal information.
