"He can't win without us!" There is a great new video that came out this morning on Barack's early efforts in Chicago to register new voters. There is even a hint that he helped change the state from red to blue.
The State of Illinois in 1998 was a Red State. In 1992, it went Blue.

I've been reflecting more and more about how similar PA is to Illinois. I mean, there is a general perception that hard core blue collar folks vote for Clinton. Early on in the primary, statistics came in reflecting a gap in income for Clinton (blue collar) v Obama (white collar) voters. And that's been perpetuated and reinforced by the MSM from then on. Wisconsin is perceived as the "exception" and not the rule.
But what people forget is that Chicago is hard core blue collar. I mean city of Big Shoulders stuff. Real hard core. The worker IS Obama's base. He's been able to reinforce that base with the latte crowd. But now because of the misconception in voter's minds, he's had a hard time getting out his base -- the steel workers and miners and service laborers that made up his success here in Illinois and Wisconsin. (Wisconsin workers already had an idea of his legislative history for the worker being next door to us.)
What gives me a really good feeling about Pennsylvania is that they are taking the election seriously as adults and are not just going to be swayed by words that are not coming out of Obama's own mouth. They are smarter.
And Obama loves loves loves the Constitution. He can really share with Pennsylvania that connection and abiding patriotism.
It is a gorgeous day in chicago and I'm going to head out. But I wanted to share the video with you.
