"From hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee."
- Moby Dick (and of course, Wrath of Khan)
The moment that Bill Clinton refused to resign for having sex with an intern in the Oval Office it was clear that the Clintons valued neither the Country nor the Democratic Party.
Consider this hypothetical: if Bill resigned would President Al Gore have beaten Bush in 2000? Where would the country be if Bill had done the right thing and stepped aside?
Hillary is doing the same thing today that Bill did in the 90s. Her campaign has been a joyless slog through the mud. She has lost. Period. Her defeat has been her own doing. She hired the wrong team. She based her campaign on the wrong principles and values. Her experience led her to this defeat, just as her experience led her to vote for Iraq, just as her experience led to the Health Care Disaster in the 90s.
And yet, from the depths of her defeat, she lashes out at Obama and - by extension - the Country. Simply stated, her refusal to step aside and make way for the future will deliver John McCain to the White House while destroying the Democratic Party.
Let's stop judging her by her words. Let's just her by her actions. And based on those actions it is clear she simply doesn't care about the Democratic Party or its principles. Her warm words about helping the Lower and Middle Class mask the cold reality that her actions favor the Wealthy.
Anyone else notice that she wants Alan Greenspan, the architect of our current financial crisis, to come back and fix it. The fact that she even thinks putting Greenspan back in power is Exhibit 1 in the case that she lacks the judgment to be President.
Exhibit 2 would be her refusal to condemn Mountain Top Removal.
Exhibits 3 through 4003 are the dead US Servicemen and Women who have died in the War She Supports.
How many more Americans have to die or see their economic futures destroyed while the Clintons play out their psychodrama on the Nation? Both of them, through word, action, and deed, have proven themselves incapable of governing with judgment or wisdom.
Time to step aside Bill and Hillary, and let the adults take over.
