First, let me just say that while I agree that we need to focus our attention on McCain and defeating him this November, we also cannot afford to take our eyes off the nomination process, as much as we'd like to. Obama ignores Hillary at his own expense. And first things first -- we need to get him nominated!!
So, with that in mind I share these random thoughts that I have not seen diaried anywhere else.
First, the Bosnian girl that read a poem to Hillary on the sniper-free tarmac is furious.
Second, over at americablog.com, there's a second-hand account of this disgracefulness of the Hillary campaign's challenging largely African-American precincts. Here's a snippet:
One of the Clinton delegates from her group challenged the validity of entire precincts. One of the precincts she challenged was almost entirely African American. Towards the end, after this group was credentialed they came by and shook their fists at the Clinton delegate and chanted "we're still here" in her face. My mom said it was a little tense.
Finally, Gallup not only finds Obama's lead holding (alhtough slipping a touch), they find that a majority of Democrats (59%) and Republicans (64%) believe the Democrats’ prospects of beating John McCain in November are better if Barack Obama rather than Hillary Clinton is the Democratic nominee. Here's the link.
So, that's what's on my mind.
