After Obama's duplicitous assurances to the Canadian government about his anti-NAFTA rantings in Ohio, the "monster" slur that oozed from his campaign, and, finally, his decision to do a bad imitation of Ken Starr, I have abandoned the Obama campaign for good, and I'm back supporting Mrs. Clinton.
Obama's decision to dredge up all the wingnut wet-dreams from the 90s is reprehensible. I saw a diary yesterday from an Obama supporter asking Hillary, "Who killed Vince Foster?" My God! The only difference between this place and Free Republic is the ideology. Fully five jurisdictions have investigated the death of Hillary's close friend Vince Foster, and each has determined without equivocation that Foster took his own life in Fort Marcy Park. Obama supporters who recycle this kind of calumny are truly Low Information Voters. I am disgusted.
The Clintons were investigated for years by a vicious, vindictive partisan prosecutor who had unlimited power and resources. They were found to have done nothing wrong. Obama now believes it is in his best political interests to rehash one of the ugliest periods in American political history. Shame on him, and shame on you who support this. You are worse than Rove, because you are adopting his craven tactics and using them against a candidate from your own party. That is contemptible.
I can no longer support Sen. Obama because I will not ever be accused of having engaged in or supported such a despicable attack on another Democrat.
