Very quick and to the point. I posted in a 9/11 diary and have been TR'd over and over. So, I decided to write a somewhat detailed comment about why I think that is wrong. The comment had nothing to do with 9/11, but everything to do with asking questions and why in a 9/11 diary I can't post a 9/11 comment? People all over were getting troll rated, but the diary was still there.
I was pointed to the FAQ which says no 9/11 diaries.. This, nor was my last comment, 9/11 related. It was a question of why are moderators TR'ing people, then posting "You have no evidence." Then when the person responds, they get TR'd again. Then when the person posts something that is not 9/11 related but an open question about Daily Kos, they get TR'd again.
Below is my comment that was TR'd, I want to know why it was. I'm starting to suspect I'll be leaving dKos (which I don't want to do, because I am a progressive) because the moderators here seem to hold grudges and take offense far too easily.
To the moderators:
I have been pointed to the FAQ and will respect the rules on Daily Kos. However, this particular post has really shaken me.
I came to Daily Kos as an Obama supporter and volunteer. I found a link to a diary written by some guy named "Poblano." It was very well written, concerning super tuesday predictions. I only check Poblano's diaries for new entries, and didn't bother to check the main site for at least 2 weeks. Eventually I came to the main site and found it a pretty well put together blog, with progressive views somewhat aligned to my own. So I stayed around.
I wrote a few diaries about things that concerned me personally, just to get some stuff off my chest - as I'm sure most people do. I comment when I feel appropriate. And I get much of my news from blogs now, because many of us political junkies skim news articles others might not necessarily see. Overall, I come to dKos on a daily basis. It's practically my home page.
That practice will probably change after today. This morning I had a very spirited conversation with people in a thread about drug use. Everyone had very good points of view that I could appreciate. It was enjoyable discussing the topic thoroughly and thoughtfully with others doing the same. But after that I came across an interesting diary that I didn't think would cause the stir that it did.
That was this diary.
The diarist, imo, simply was pointing out that there was unfair censorship regarding the 9/11 attacks. With Keith Olbermann's report about AG Mukasey's knowledge, or lack thereof, of information concerning those attacks, I figured this topic was fair game. Especially in the current context. Apparently I was wrong.
I posted rather blatantly "9/11 Was an Inside Job." and posted that "WTC7 was brought down by explosives." Now yes, that is my personal belief, but I wasn't interested in detailing it. It's a well known theory on the internet, it's no secret to anyone. But after posting I was troll rated, my comments hidden! Amazed, I thought it was an error, maybe my comment didn't post. Maybe they had an AJAX error. So I posted again. Troll rated, immediately.
Wow.
So, I replied to someone else's comment asking why are people getting troll rated for posting their opinions in one diary. Comment after comment, was troll rated. By whom? I have no idea. Where they derive that authority, I do not know. But I suspect these people are moderators who feel the content personally objectionable.
I think in the context of the diary the comments fit, but apparently the moderators on the blog do not agree. I have been pointed to the FAQ twice and I therefore will not post any more 9/11 theories. However, I find the censorship, given the context of this diary, of comments offensive. The disinformation posted by many of those people who believe the government accounts is not challenged in anyway. People posting are saying "Where's your evidence" repeatedly, but whenever I post the word "WTC7" my comment is troll rated.
I'm saving this page and this comment because I believe it is good to understand fear and the blind belief of people.
I just thought I would bring my personal views to the attention of anyone who cares. I find the censorship of this topic, in this particular diary, ridiculous. I question the motives of those who would troll rate anything with the world WTC7 in it in order to not entertain an argument.
There are many progressives, including my Congressman, who believe that more information is necessary to really know what happened on 9/11. To take the government account of what happened at face value is basically abdicating the our ability to research and discover facts for ourselves. We under a nation that performed the Tuskegee experiments and planned Operation Northwood against it's citizens. Like the Reichstag fire, I question the government's motives. For that I am censured.
I question the motivation.
We'll see if this get's troll rated and if it does, I'd like a response.
I would like to know why this comment was hidden. I am not laying out any conspiracy theory. I'm simply saying I question the government. That is wrong-thinking now? If I'm not welcome on Daily Kos, after visiting and contributing to this site day after day, then by all means, please ban me.
UPDATE x1:
Because you are proving yourself to be a troll. (1+ / 0-)

Anyone interested please go to my comments page and see if I'm a troll or not? This morning I had an hour long conversation about drugs. On numerous occasions I've posted my personal opinions, always progressive, always pro-democratic party, on this site.
