I am so proud of Portland. Who we are, the progressive state we are.
I found this on OregonLive today...
"Portland’s suburbs and East Portland could prove key battlegrounds on Tuesday when votes are counted in the Oregon Democratic Primary. Will those areas go for Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton? Four Oregonian reporters — Michael Rollins, Joseph Rose, Esmeralda Bermudez and Casey Parks — recorded these interviews to try to give a sense of how residents are voting and what is driving their choices."

What I like is they ask everyone they interview if their candidate loses the primary, will they vote for the opposing candidate.
It seems like most of the Clinton supporters here, like Richard Conachon from E. Portland get it. Yes, we, the working white class and older white folk from Oregon will vote Democratic no matter who gets the bid. It's our party. Watching these videos make me so happy to be a Democrat in Oregon.
Well, I'd better post this and get ready to hit the Waterfront! I am sitting here in my air conditioned office in the WTC, right next to the Hawthorne Bridge, (yay!) waiting for my kids to meet me downstairs so we can walk over and be a part of this historic moment. I've seen his speeches so many times that I don't mind being way in the back, I just want to be a part of the support here in Portland. And it's such a beautiful day!!
