An interesting nugget of information came forth today, thanks to Al Giordano at The Field. I was actually quite surprised this has not been diaried here at all today.
There are reports from a North Carolina blog that Edwards' campaign, having donated his former office space to a small business, has asked for it back -- immediately:
This morning, we have been officially informed that Edwards campaign needs the offices back and we must move as of today.
Keep in mind that this is perhaps juicier thanks to the Edwards endorsement of Obama last week and his performance thus far in the polls with Barack matched up against McCain and some possible running mates.
Giordano posits that the Edwards organization will be needing the space to organize a poverty tour with Obama later this summer or fall, and that the tour might serve as some sort of audition for the possible ticket. I'm not sure if Obama would wait that long for an audition, but I could understand the poverty tour.
Edwards did deny interest; but does he mean it?
UPDATE: Clarified last question.
