Like so many others here, I've been in a very foul mood over the latest capitulation by the Bush Dog Dems to the most despised, unpopular President in living memory.
So I offer one way to hit back at those who subvert, rape and undermine our Constitution at every possible opportunity.
And if there are other ideas to hit back at these swine, please add them to the mix.
First off, my worthless Bush Dog representative is Silvestre Reyes, and the rat-bastard outright lied to me when he said that there'd be NO retroactive legal immunity for the telecom carriers without knowing all the details about their warrantless spying on, and datamining of, their own customers.
Of course, granting this 4th Amendment gutting immunity without knowing all the details is EXACTLY what Reyes voted for, and what Obama has said he'll allegedly try to oppose, at least as it relates to the telecom immunity portion of legislation that not only outright attacks our Constitutional freedoms, but also stops any real oversight meant to keep the Executive branch in check.
Now, if this idea takes off-an unlikely possibility-this might be a way see just which group of people this Administration is REALLY spying on, possible "terrorists" or citizens and voters.
What I propose are e-mails, because that's the easiest way for anyone here to get involved, and because the "subject line" is what attracts the monitors attention.
In the subject line of these e-mails should be words & phrases absolutely guaranteed to draw attention, such as "Usama bin Laden", "terrorists attacks", you get the idea. Also, make sure that the body of the e-mail finishes off the subject line's indications. If the subject line states "Usama bin Laden Smiles....", the body should finish off with something like ".....as Bush Jr and his worthless supporters trash our freedoms and Constitution far more effectively and thoroughly than terrorists ever could." Or, "Terrorists Attacks In The Making....." "haven't been broken up by warrantless spying on purely domestic communications."
These e-mails should be targeted ONLY at all the Representatives & Senators who voted to rape, subvert and undermine the very Constitution they swore to "uphold and defend against all enemies foreign and domestic", and, on a daily basis-hourly would be better, but not as likely or probable, people have work responsibilities and real lives to lead.
If there's a chance to corner these vile Bush Dog Dems and GOP lackeys in a public setting, say at a public meeting, or call-in talk shows, here's the questions and talking points to push.
"Why do you feel that the privacy rights of telecom carriers and internet providers is FAR more important to defend-via retroactive legal immunity-than my rights NOT to be spied on without a warrant?"
"We have a President who allows torture as an official US Policy now, he also claims the right to keep us all safe from terrorists by spying on us and our communications instead of catching or killing Usama bin Laden.
"And yet, there's been no massive public outpouring of support for any item from that list except catching or killing Usama bin Laden.
"So why do you think the voters and your constituents WANT to be spied on, without a legally issued warrant or subpoena, and just how does this FISA rewrite STRENGTHEN our Constitution and expand our protections against an out-of-control Executive Branch?"
"What guarantees can you offer that you and your staff will also be subject to warrantless spying, or are you claiming that YOUR privacy rights must be protected while the privacy rights of your constituents aren't an issue worth fighting for?"
"Since the privacy rights of your own voters obviously is NOT a priority for you, how will you lead by example when it comes to giving up YOUR Constitutional rights and privileges?"
"Since you're telling your own voters that they must just trust an Administration NOT to misuse or abuse their most personal and intimate legal, financial and medical records & information, are you willing to put YOUR most intimate personal, financial and medical information online, for the whole world to see, and just trust that it won't be abused or misused?"
"How rigorous are the security measures for the personnel tasked with this warrantless spying, the dissemination of such information, and the aggregation of such information into databases?"
"If you can't answer those last questions, then why did you vote to give an Administration notorious for lax security-as it relates to keeping this information as secure and confidential as possible-even more opportunities to allow widespread access and hacking to supposedly confidential information?"
"What assurances and guarantees can you give that you and your staff's computers are safe from hacking attempts, and if you can't offer such guarantees, then why should anyone think you'll be strident in keeping their information as safe and confidential as possible?"
As I said, this is just one way of dealing with our rightful rage and fury aimed at those on Capitol Hill who think Constitutional protections apply only to themselves, not to the obviously unenlightened rabble such as ourselves.
If there are flaws with the e-mail idea, please point them out so the idea itself can be strengthened and made more effective, and please, do add any ideas that strike your fancy.
Thanks, sincerely, for any and all replies and reads for this post.
