Why is it that everytime I try to talk to a Republican about what is wrong with McCain or Bush they always come back with, "well Clinton did ____." And even now, with the primaries done and gone, some of us seem to think that we are running against Bill Clinton.
Well, let me tell you, Bill Clinton is not running. He is not the enemy. Not our enemy, and not their enemy.
This is the enemy
A guy who supports a war without even knowing who we are fighting.
A guy who would murder native americans by forcing the elderly and infirmed off their land so that his greedy buddies could rape it.
A guy who, despite being a vet and a POW, has one of the worst records on veterans issues.
A guy who would put a crumbling infrastructure at even greater risk while giving more profits to oil companies.
A guy who voted with George W Bush 95% of the time in 2007.
A guy who would humiliate his own wife by calling her a "fucking cunt" in public.
A guy who would send out campaign photos of his family that intentionally exclude his dark-skinned adopted daughter.
A guy who thinks we can afford to spend another 100 years in Iraq.
A guy who doesn't see any problem with cutting taxes while fighting a multi-billion dollar war, despite having previously opposed those same tax cuts.
A guy who can't even remember what he said two days ago.
A guy who thinks women make less because they are not as well educated.
A guy who would laugh when his colleague was called a bitch.
A guy whose Supreme Court appointments would shift the balance of power for generations to come.
Should I go on? I go away for a bit and come back and everyone is attacking each other and other democrats and our own candidate while John McDubya continues to get a free ride.
This is the guy we need to be focusing on.
The Eye was rimmed with fire, but was itself glazed, yellow as a cat's, watchful and intent, and the black slit of its pupil opened on a pit, a window into nothing.
