There is a new SUSA poll out today that shows Obama up 2% on McCain in Virginia. Obviously it is very early but I think the poll is worth noting.
SUSA also did some polling making certain people VP candidates to see if it moves the poll in one direction or another. The polls do not move much more than 5 points one way or the other showing to me the VP candidates are not as important as they are made out to be.
I figured I would give you guys a little more info so that you did not have to look at the polling stuff as much....
As always this is just more good news for Obama.
There are no other SUSA polls that I could find recently so not much to compare it to. The latest poll was almost 6 weeks ago. The last 3 polls in general have Obama +1, +2, +2 so this seems to be pretty consistent.
The only major issue they have McCain getting 25% of the BLACK vote... this will not happen in November and they only have blacks making up 18% of the electorate in Virginia... So I feel this lead is a little small...
I was going to talk about all the VP stuff that was done as well but it was not as interesting as I had hoped. Kaine made it 46-44 Obama and Webb made it 49-45 so neither of the two big Virginia names helped Obama much that was the only major interesting thing to me. They did not put Warner in to their poll at all I would be interested to see what that would do to the poll
