In all of this confusion and rhetoric about the economy, Iraq, and everything else, it is easy to get mixed up about what is actually going on. One side is saying something and the other side is saying something completely different. Both are saying they are right, but who knows? Whenever I come to a difficult and confusing situation like this, I know I can always fall back on mathematics. In Mathematics, you find a true constant and you can work your way to the answer based on the relationships between your variables and that constant. Applying this principle, I have discovered two laws that will help you figure out our political situation.
Law #1: The First Law of Bush-dynamics
- Whatever comes out of George Bush's mouth is inversely proportional to the truth. - or -
Bush words = 1/truth
Examples: Saddam has WMD = There are no WMD in Iraq
The economy is strong = people are going to lose everything soon
I am the Decider= I don't even dress myself
Law #2: The Second Law of Bush-dynamics
- Whatever George Bush wants to do is inversely proportional to the right thing to do - or -
Bush actions = 1/right thing to do
Examples: We need to stay in Iraq = We need to leave Iraq immediately
We need to drill offshore = We need to get away from oil
We need to invade Iraq to fight terror = The terrorists are in Afghanistan
If you use these two simple laws, you may be able to figure out who to vote for and who to believe in this political mess that we have. If you cannot use these laws to determine what is right, you are probably a Republican and are therefore logic challenged.
We do have a program to help you people who may be logic challenged. Go to your local Army or Marine recruiter and sign up for the infantry program and request duty in Iraq. Your logic problem will vanish shortly after arriving in-country.
Register to vote and help others to do the same! Your country depends on it.
