Fox and most of their minions will unfairly portray Senator McCain as more suitable for POTUS based on his POW status. Just make the following observation known to the competitive choir.
Senator McCain was a POW, was rightfully honored and decorated for his service to our country. These enduring qualifications of solitude do not justify any superiority to be POTUS. He, like most politicians, also has a questionable past that has surfaced many times since his release. He has shown his questionable judgment on many occasions in the public arena. He is "seriously" just another politician with seniority. A miserable stint in a foreign country doesn't make one a foreign policy or national security expert.
There is not much executive experience gained from these harsh conditions, and the soul must be rightfully honored for endurance. However, one should not gain an advantage of qualification towards the very special abilities needed for presiding over the U.S. by being solely in the military, a pilot, or a prisoner in a war.
