Stop.
Please.
Yes, in advance, I know this is not a real diary... but neither are 99% of the faux diaries joking about Obama's VP. Let's be patient. And more importantly, let's be cool. Up until Obama makes the announcement, we're all equally in the dark. When the text message comes, many of us will be ecstatic, and others less so. Until then... chill out.
I know, you're excited. So am I. So are millions of us. But it's like the floodgates have broken open and there's a deluge of VP hysteria. While it's good that we're all engaged in our support of Obama, there's a bit too much drama.
So, until he makes the announcement, how about we savor the moment. No more VP diaries. If you've got something to say, add it to one of the existing ones or even put it in an open thread. There are many good diaries being pushed off the recent list that might have been read but for all the VP ones.
And after Obama announces his choice for VP, please remember the following:
"Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can, and
the wisdom to know the difference."
After he announces his running mate, keep your whining diaries to yourself. While it is certainly possible that some other candidate might be better, or so you think, you will accept that what's done is done. The nominee for VP will not change and no amount of childish whining will make it any different.
It's our responsibility as Democrats to support Obama regardless of who he chooses.
So, who's with me?
