I kind of LIKE the tone of this weeks ad thrust:
CHICAGO (AP) -- U.S. Presidential hopeful Barack Obama's campaign will begin running a television ad Monday in the U.S., that attacks Republican John McCain's energy policies.
"After one president in the pocket of big oil we can't afford another," says the ad, referring to President Bush's previous work in the oil industry.
Update:THANKS VERILY FOR THE LINK:
It is titled POCKETS
I can't find the link to the video, but will update as soon as one of the excellent kossacks provide the details.
So, best I can do is pull the narration out of the CNN text:
CNN story released around midnight Aug 4
Obama hoped to emphasize energy and the economy in campaign stops this week in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, beginning with a speech Monday in Lansing, Mich. Gas prices over $4 a gallon have become a top issue in the U.S. presidential contest.
Obama's spot trumpets his proposal to revive a windfall profits tax on energy companies and asserts that McCain favors tax breaks for the oil industry.
"A windfall profits tax on big oil to give families a thousand-dollar rebate," an announcer in the ad says
We should emphasize how the campaign donations flooded into McCain's camp once he contradicted his offshore oil drilling position.
The new Obama ad opens with a driver pumping gas. The announcer says, "Every time you fill your tank, the oil companies fill their pockets."
Energy is the discussion focus of the week, folks !
It is also Helen Thomas' birthday today.
I'll put up the link as soon as somebody finds it !
