According to the Des Moines Register the first three days of polling just after the Republican Convention shows Iowa pro Obama by 52% to 40% (MoE 4 points).
I am no poll guru, no savvy math whiz, so I have no idea about this poll's validity, the sway in the internals or anything, but I figured this is really positive news for the Midwest. Any feedback I could get on this, I would really appreciate. I am trying to absorb and understand the polling mumbojumbo.

I heard this tidbit on NPR as I drove to work this morning, and I decided I better find the article so I could post it on dkos. I'm impressed, but not altogether surprised, by the lead, though it does put me in a bit of a conundrum.
I recently moved to Iowa City (like 6 weeks ago). I can absentee ballot to vote in Wisconsin, or I can register to vote in Iowa City. I'd kind of like to vote in the state where I feel I can make the most impact, but time is running out on the application process and/or registering. And this poll gives me pause, a reconsideration of where that vote might best be cast. Maybe I'm thinking too hard and should register and be done with it. :
