I think "The View" and SNL just shamed the big boys into growing a couple!
Following a really VERY strange walk by Brian Williams going from the anchor seat at NBC to cNBC's studio (SIGNAL: Folks out there in America! THIS is really a big, unusual, scary CRISIS!)
Williams: What are the next shoes?
cNBC analyst: "It could be a millapeed. It's like the Dutch boy at the dike," he said with a real tremble in his voice.
Williams: We go to another topic directly tied to this topic:
Cut to Obama's "staff meeting" slam dunk about the good old boys network!
Now, the stuff on Palin:
I tried to get a quick transcript:
Clip of McCain: "She probably knows more than anyone in America about energy."
Palin: "Alaska produces 20% of energy ..."
NBC: Wrong. Facts and figures telling the truth.
Then, the foreign trips nonsense? Slam! Slam! Iraq? nope. Ireland? NOT. A stop for re-fueling.
NBC: What about not having met with foreign heads of state?
ABC interview clip: "I have not [met any] but I think if you go back in history, you'll find that most Vice Presidential candidates haven't either.
According to the historians: Nope, again. All VPs in past have had pretty extensive experience and exposure to foreign leaders, except ... wait for it ... Spiro Agnew.
LMAO -- hard to type.
Bridge bit? Oh Lord, they just showed three clips of her repeating the bridge line it!
And the coup de grace ... wiat for it ... NBC just reported that the bridge may STILL be on the table to be built!
Pair the opening about the financial crisis with this segment, and they might have just said: "McCain and Palin are either clueless or liars."
I am just thrilled with what a few good women can do! Tips and rec's to the ladies on The View and SNL! First Tweety and then NBC, pigs are flying tonight.
UPDATED: Video link thanks to Scarce. :) And thanks to Vita Brevis for the embed. (Hope it works. I've never done this.)
