Can you hear the beat of the drum? More and more pundits are beginning to question the campaign tactics of John McCain, including his reckless decision to select Sarah Palin as his running mate.
The Today Show has joined that number and conducted a very critical piece called "Reality Check on Palin".

The segment first cuts into Palin's claim that she has energy experience and exposes the fact that she either lied or did not know the percentage of domestic production of oil from Alaska. The McCain campaign championed Sarah Palin's knowledge of energy, but the segment calls that into question or at least made listeners stop and pause.
The segment also challenges Palin's assertion that she was against the "Bridge" and ends on very powerful note indicating that she was looking to do more earmark bridge projects before being tapped to become John McCain's soul mate. The piece is so critical even conservative pundit Bill Bennett could not save her in this follow-up clip.

This sharp piece basically questioning the integrity of the John McCain campaign will likely lead to others. The beat of the drum is getting louder.
Update:
Some have asked for a more descriptive narrative:
The 1st clip is an investigative piece that questioned Sarah Palin's understanding of energy. The investigative piece first shows Palin's claims and then counters with an expert on energy who explains why Palin is wrong. The clip moves on to the issue of her International experience. The piece points out that Palin has stated that she has been to Iraq, and that she suggested her trip supports her claim of Foriegn Affairs experience. But, the clip goes on to rebut this claim and points out that her claim to have travelled to Ireland is an exaggeration. The piece ends on the issue of the Bridge.
Bill Bennett was interviewed in a follow-up to the segment and was asked about Palin's lies. He called her lies minor and said they did not matter. But Meredith Vieira pushed on and questioned him on this. He had no answer and tried to fudge the question. She also got him on his notion that David Brooks' opinion does not matter. Bennett tried to dismiss Brooks' article as nonsense and called him an elitist. Vieira questioned him on this assertion and made him back off of it. In a nutshell, Bennett had no real response to the investigative piece.
