Great news out of Virginia. Two polls have confirmed Obama leads outside the MOE there. Over the flip for more:
First, SUSA has this gem:
Obama 51
McCain 45
Registered Voters
Now that's been backed up by a new ABC News/WaPo poll:
Obama 50
McCain 44
Registered Voters
Interestingly, the ABC Poll has Obama only up by 4 when Likely Voters are included. This leads me to believe they're not taking into account Obama's huge registration drives in the State.
And as Al Giordano points out, there is still a lot of room for Obama to grow in the polls in VA, as they project only an 18% turnout among A-A's. Clearly, the shift in focus to the economy is helping Obama here.
On a personal note, I live in North Carolina, and the energy is palpable here. I'm in Raleigh, attend grad school at NC State, and I see Obama signs everywhere I go. It's amazing actually. Change is in the air!
However, I would be remiss if I didn't encourage everyone out there reading this to not get complacent! Here is voting information for each state.
