I really wonder how far these people will take it. How far they will try to fool people who aren't paying attention, capable of paying attention beyond five minutes, or who have IQs that put them in the netherworld.
I don't know just where to start, but I'll just start: the shamelessness with which the McCain campaign proceeds to foist the Sarah Palin fraud upon the American people is downright staggering. Today, Palin slithered into New York City to meet with various foreign heads of state. That she is allowed to do this in the first place is beyond my comprehension. What grounds are given for this? Who determines that this is appropriate? How are these foreign heads of state made to believe that they should meet with her? Why in the flying f*** is Bono agreeing to meet with her? It's hard to determine that in the first place, but by allowing these "meetings," Palin is then given "photo opportunities"--so treasured by the Bush administration--so that she can then plaster those photos on her campaign materials--while never having to answer one question from the "press." Is there a member of the "press" who will simply not stand for this charade? I wonder. Instead, photographs are taken, creating yearbook-like photos for the Palin/McCain campaign and the "teevee" shows to proffer, as if they were taken during a real event. I've read her "meeting" with Hamid Karzai lasted 29 seconds.
It is an unbelievable charade, undertaken by an unbelievable charlatan, sold to the public via the "press." CNN should be ashamed of itself. Any media outlet who promotes any photographs or tapes of these "meetings" as anything approaching a serious encounter is perpetuating the myth the Republican party is trying to sell to the gullible, uneducated, uninformed, and misguided.
