This is my personal take on these heroic people
Community Organizers are people like my Uncle Buck. I am from New York and Long Island specifically, I lived in Bronx for years. He was the backbone and steady for many people in my community.
I have seen people's lives go down and they would always come to my Uncle and say "Can ya help a brotha start something again?" People always came to him to help em get a job, not for handouts. And he would always work his hardest to help them as he thought that if you help out your community and helped people improve their lives this would impact the wider world and it always has.
He set up after school programs for us kids in the LI neighborhood, so we would have home work help for those of us who had parents working the graveyard shift and my mom who came home at about 7 everyday.
I was personally stung by more so motivated by the mockery last night.Community Leaders are the bridge that connects the folks to the politicians.
I think they have just organized themselves out of an election
