We've all been inundated, since the Republicans held their convention in St. Paul, with the strange concept (stolen from the Obama campaign) that Republicans running for office want a change from the Republicans currently holding office.
I've been looking everywhere for this newly minted Republician demand for change, and where it might be reflected. Not in their party planks, in their tired worn out positions and presidential candidate, in their history over the last eight years while in control of the White House, or the six years they controlled the Congress. Where then, do we find this change they speak so glowingly about?

It came to me today, while watching Obama speak in Flint Michigan.
Republican change is this:
If you're a man reach into your pants pocket and pull out what's in there. Extract the paper clip, lint, guitar pick, or receipts. What you are left with is everything the Republicans want you to have-change! That's it.
If you're a woman reach into your purse and into the zipper compartment. Pull out the tissue, breath mints, pen, etc... What you are left with is the great handful of change the Republicans would like to leave you with if they're elected to Bush's 3rd term.
If you are a young person shake out the money in your piggy bank and hold it in your hand. What you have, is the type of change you can hope to save in the future if Republicans convince the majority of voters that they are the agents of change.
If you are elderly, check your pants pockets, under the couch cushions, the junk drawer, and near the washing machine. Collect all the spare change you can find because you'll need it to heat your home or buy food if the Republicans bring us anymore change!
Personally, I'd like nothing better than to have Obama reach into his suit pants pocket during the debate with McCain, pull out a few coins and state "I've got your brand of Republican change right here, John! If the cut off between the wealthy and the middle class is 5 million dollars, what is the cut off between the middle class and the working poor, John? How many working class American's will your brand of change impact? This is the only type of change they'll have if Republican are elected to Bush's third term"
List some of the bills McCain's voted against beginning with minimum wages increases, tax cuts for the middle class, veterans assistance, etc...
I think I speak for many when I say I dream of change-just not the kind that I can keep in my pocket!
