I'm sick of bipartisanship.
Why in the world do you include the same Republican sociopaths who created this catastrophe in crafting a solution?
I think the events on the Recovery bill of this past week taught the President a lesson my mother taught me when I was a child. Stay away from crazy people.
Mr. President, these people are not your friends. They don't like you, they wish you ill, they want you to fail. Even erstwhile "friends" like Judd Gregg.
When you deliver affordable and guaranteed healthcare to the American people, the the Republican brand dies. Hopefully this depraved bunch is gone for good--like the dinosaurs, if not forever, at least for many decades.
What follows is the grotesque American reality of 2009.
We haven't heard about family values for some time, have we? This is a portrait of family life in the United States after eight years of depraved Republican rule and indifference. American families have been simply destroyed.
This is from the PBS Newshour and it will break you heart.
"either I buy my medicine or I buy my daughter's medicine . . .so I gave up my medicine"
We won, you extended your hand, and they shit all over you the American people.
I don't want Republicans touching our healthcare. Period. Ever. Remember what Republicans did to Medicare D?
Here's a snapshot of their miserable record of abject failure. There is a finite amount of pain and suffering the American people will tolerate. Like you said in Denver, enough!
In the meantime, Americans are frightened and need affordable and guaranteed healthcare now. No more quick and inadequate fixes.
And, I'll make a prediction, it's only a matter of time until the protests of unemployed workers which are sweeping the world, are going to come to cities in the United States.
I have no explanation why there have not already been massive protests here. Why are we not in the streets demanding the same healthcare that members of Congress give themselves--and which taxpayers subsidize? Why?
Rise in Jobless Poses Threat to Stability Worldwide
PARIS — From lawyers in Paris to factory workers in China and bodyguards in Colombia, the ranks of the jobless are swelling rapidly across the globe.
Worldwide job losses from the recession that started in the United States in December 2007 could hit a staggering 50 million by the end of 2009, according to the International Labor Organization, a United Nations agency. The slowdown has already claimed 3.6 million American jobs.
High unemployment rates, especially among young workers, have led to protests in countries as varied as Latvia, Chile, Greece, Bulgaria and Iceland and contributed to strikes in Britain and France.
Last month, the government of Iceland, whose economy is expected to contract 10 percent this year, collapsed and the prime minister moved up national elections after weeks of protests by Icelanders angered by soaring unemployment and rising prices.

They are already turning up the heat in an effort to derail healthcare reform. This is happening before you've even addressed the nation and described your vision of an America where healthcare finally becomes a right.
The soulless retreads are hard at work, the same enablers of the status quo who spewed deceit and fear to defeat the Clinton Plan in the early nineties--this crowd is fired up and ready to go.
From now on, I hope President Obama will heed the wise words of one of my closest friends. "I'd rather marry a smoker than a Republican".
Republicans are not the friends of the American people.
There is no longer any room at the table for Republicans. They have turned the "American way of life" into the American nightmare.
