A daily blog in defense of liberalism and the President.
I was going to start with something else but as I was watching CNN this morning they ran a clip of Sen. Jim Demint saying how the Cash for Clunkers program was a failure and needed to be shutdown because it was only a temporary fix. Well yes Jim, it is that is what stimulus is for, to get the economy jumpstarted because we are currently in a recession you asshole! Anyway my point isn’t that Jim Demint is not supporting the program he wouldn’t support anything that President Obama and the Democrats wanted, my point is that CNN ran that clip with no explanation and no counter from someone on the other side giving a different point of view. If you are only going to show one side of a story then you cannot call yourself a fair and impartial media outlet. So sham on you CNN for being as shitty as Fox and actually maybe worse because everyone knows how biased as full of shit Fox is, but you pretend to be real news.
Speaking of bias I actually enjoyed I give kudos to Keith Olbermann for calling out the Republicans and the Bluedogs last night for all the money they have taken from the healthcare industry. Olbermann asked the question whether this country protected it’s corporations over its people? We all know the truth of that question. Hell the corporate Wall Street bailouts shows who gets priority in this country and it sure isn’t the masses with their lack of money and influence. Sadly though on the healthcare debate the right and the Healthcare companies have or are in the process of convincing enough Americans that the government is trying to take over the industry that once again it will be the people who lose and suffer when it is all said and done.
Now I come to the Philosopher of the Week, Confucius, who said, "If you shoot for the stars and hit the moon, it's OK. But you've got to shoot for something. A lot of people don't even shoot." Inspiration and wise advise my friends, go out in the world and try to be everything you ever wanted to be. Confucius also wrote, "If you think in terms of a year, plant a seed; if in terms of ten years, plant trees; if in terms of 100 years, teach the people." That is what we desperately need some long term thinking and planning, if we do not we are doomed for this just hoping for the best with our fingers crossed is what children and Republicans do, not what intelligent humans do. Well friends I will be gone the next few days and so will talk to you all on Friday until then goodbye....
