According to St. Louis station KMOX and CBS Sports (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/12322129/cbsnews), noted conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh is seeking part ownership of the NFL's St. Louis Rams.
While many NFL players can feel morally superior to the people who sign their checks, Rush as owner will let Rams players feel that way in trump cards. The vast majority of them are college graduates, and painkiller addiction in their case is at least justified.
Rush clips could play at halftime. Or, instead of playing, Rush could come out and just talk for three hours about how the Rams would have completely destroyed the opposition.
Coverage would be predictable. If the Rams fail to make the playoffs, Glenn Beck will demand the resignation of NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell. Michelle Malkin will start calling 49ers running back Frank Gore "an enemy of America," and Fox News will claim that scoreboards have a liberal bias. At least the Rams won't pick up a black quarterback.
Or, as the headline on the Deadspin website put it: "Horrible Person wants to buy Horrible Team."
