The Sun-Times is offering an anti-Obama push-poll on their website, tied to a lovely screed from one of their conservative columnists.
Against the hard-hitting investigation and eloquent whining analysis of the columnist, it's not surprising poll numbers are running against Obama 92% to 7% .
Excuses wearing thin for Obama, media pals
October 20, 2009
BY STEVE HUNTLEY
Have you heard the news? President Obama inherited an economic mess from the Bush administration.
You say that's hardly news? But it's been the message sounded over and over by the White House. Top Obama adviser David Axelrod said on one of the Sunday news shows, "He walked in the door, we had the worst economy since the Great Depression." In San Francisco, Obama talked of being "busy with our mop." White House heavy hitter Rahm Emanuel used the worst-economy-since-the-Depression line on a public TV news show.
Apparently, Obama does not keep media busy enough by making up stuff, resorting instead to the boring realities.
Huntley has a firm grasp of Republican logic, opining:
They inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression, or the economy turned out to be worse than they thought. Which is it? It can't be both -- unless your brain is completely addled by the Obama charisma.
The same way 22is the lowest number in the world, and nothing can ever be any lower... except perhaps Republican approval ratings.
The same columnist has had his eye on Obama for a while now, covering subjects of sweeping importance such as how many questions he takes from reporters.
Some things can't be helped, some aren't worth the time. On the other hand, wouldn't it be funny if a clearly biased poll's numbers turned around?
