Dear Congressman,
For the very first time I find myself writing to you in disappointment.
I want to emphasize that I contribute, support, and admire your work for your constituents in Congress and have always been pleased with your voting record.
But I am sorely disappointed that the House has included the Stupak amendment as part of the proposed healthcare reform.
I realize the need for compromise in order to get anything passed, but it appears that Congress is willing to pass "anything" just to claim credit for passing "something".
A Healthcare reform which doesn't include universal coverage, has a weak "public option" and makes the religious beliefs of the Conference of Cardinals the law of the land is not the "reform" I wanted or the "change" I voted for.
In sorrow,

Between this and Maine, I am very discouraged - the Bishops seem to be running the country
