Per Seattle Times:
"Maurice Clemmons, the 37-year-old Tacoma man being sought for questioning in the killing of four Lakewood police officers this morning, has a long criminal record punctuated by violence, erratic behavior and concerns about his mental health.
Nine years ago, then-Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee granted clemency to Clemmons, commuting his lengthy prison sentence over the protestations of prosecutors.
"This is the day I've been dreading for a long time," Larry Jegley, prosecuting attorney for Arkansas' Pulaski County said Sunday night when informed that Clemmons was being sought in connection to the killings."

The charges on this guy are simply horrendous
I post this as simply a Washington resident.
I love my state and the half-dozen friend an family in law enforcement. this is now twice we have had convicts from out of state kill in cold blood after being released by government officials. Daniel Tavares Jr. the other. See: Mitt Romney
I feel I have every right in the world to say this:
Mike Huckabee -- I hope you are never elected to so much as dog catcher in the future.
(Have changed diary to reflect "person of interest" -- my apologies, this is twice in 2 mos. we have lost a police officer and my nerves are a little shot -- and now my blood is boiling)
Again, per Seattle Times:
Mark Renninger, 39, with 13 years of law-enforcement experience, is survived by his wife and three children.
Robert Owen, 37, who spent 12 years in law enforcement, is survived by a former wife and a daughter.
Tina Griswold, 40, a 14-year veteran officer, is survived by her husband and two children.
Greg Richards, 42, who had eight years of law-enforcement experience, is survived by his wife and three children.
All 4 married with families.
Heartbroken
UPDATE:
After reading many of the comments, let me add this. Please DO NOT rec! This was not to be meant as a "gotcha" moment for Mike Huckabee's presidential aspiratoins in 2012. It could have been governor Joe Blow.
Over morning coffee preparing to protect us all, 4 people lost their lives today. This was intendend more as a way of venting my frustrations about how this could happen and sadness for the families of those lost - and for those of us who watched on our local news the procession today and last month at Key Arena - please let the powers that be not let this happen again. And for whoever committed this tragedy to receive no mercy -neither from the courts or from his/her maker.
UPDATE X2: Police surrounding location in Seattle -- not far from where Officer Brenton was recently gunned down.
