The financial bailout happened in 1 month despite costing $900 billion. So why wait until 2013 for healthcare?
HC reform delay has been attributed to lobbyists & numbers games -& that's too believable. But what will be the true effect of delay?
Delay = danger, & the wildcard is elections. While liberals are talking about reform 'enhancements', the 2010/2012 elections could have drastic effect. Cue the political ad 'danger & doom' voiceover.
Both parties live on controversy - it's mothers milk that makes for strong bases. If you think you're too logical to react like a Tea Party marcher penciling in mustaches, consider this:
Doesn't the thought of Rush Limbaugh re-forming healthcare reform make you reach for your volunteer clipboard & wallet?
Healthcare reform will ensure volunteers running about, crowds foaming at mouth, & overflowing party coffers. In DC, feeling important is bipartisan. That only happens by keeping power & progress in precarious balance.
Party Politics is the toil of fools & their tools. Simply put, DC high-stakes poker makes for excitement & great payouts (even for losers). There's still too much controversy to milk from HC reform for either party to call this over. The delay is just beginning.
