For those that don't know, I'm from Missouri and well it's an interesting state. It only narrowly want to McCain and while it's lost it's 'bellwether' status it's still an important state that is neither really blue nor red. This leads to all sorts of interesting behavior especially from the wing nuts
However today I found something that I think takes teh cake for at least this year.
Here's the video
(found here but warning it's a conservative local blog I go there because well it's generally entertaining)
Now I could rant and rave about how the Boston Tea Party was a protest about over bearing taxes, about taxes without representation and about a corrupt abusive goverment that was trying to syphon money out of the American colonies to the British homeland and about how this 'protest' has absolutely nothing to do with any of that.
I'm not mostly because I fear I wouldn't be saying anything that wouldn't be freaken obvious.
Anyways sorry for the short diary just something random I found that I thought some might enjoy
Update 2:22pm so it's come to my attention that this was supposed to be a national thing. Only it seems to have failed so spectularly that in some places there wasn't even a 'protest' as not enough people showed up.
Shout out to Maimondes for providing pictures of the DC 'protest here
Yes it's another diary but it's a common theme
Update 2:25 pm
Here's a little comparison for you
This was back in the summer:
This was today:

Update 2:42 pm From grannyhelm apparently the protest of only 30 people in Jacksonville FL made the national news.
All I have to say is wtf? Thousands of people protest the war, the enviroment, safe toys and so on and the news ignores them but 30 crazies show up to pour Arizona tea into the ocean and they get national news?
Is it just me or is something really disturbing about that?
