I must remain consistent.
I opposed the release of detainee abuse photographs on the grounds that this kind of revelation would anger Muslim radicals who would in turn be likely to murder or attempt to murder our troops stationed in their countries.
Today, GQ inexplicably revealedthat Donald Rumsfeld referred to U.S invasions into Muslim nations around the time of the Iraq war as "Crusades," and quoted the Bible as well.
The Muslim world is very sensitive in regard to this historic battle between Christians and Muslims (The Crusades); therefore GQ should not have gone there. Now our troops may die.
I encourage all of you, especially those who used the same argument against the release of detainee photos, to voice your opposition against GQ.
Unless, of course, you were never outraged about the photos in the first place because your goal is to defend Obama no matter what he says and does, reflected by the fact that you didn't voice outrage when President Obama vowed to release the photos two weeks before he changed his mind.
